RSV Vaccine (Nirsevimab)
Why do I recommend this injection?
-
Reduces the risk of SEVERE RSV disease by about 80%. Infants less than 6 months of age are at higher risk for hospitalization.
-
It does not activate the immune system but provides effective protection against severe disease. Nirsevimab contains antibodies against RSV.
-
Excellent Safety Profile: Side effects are uncommon. The most common side effects after injection are pain, redness, or swelling where the injection was given, and a rash. No serious allergic reactions occurred.
